Thank you for taking an interest in my Live Journal page.
I was born at Baylor hospital in Dallas, Texas on December 25, 1969. Yes, I'm a Christmas baby. Although I don't remember it (and there are no pictures to prove it) I was brought home in a stocking.
I have an older sister, named Risa. Both of our parents are now deceased. Mom died in 1995, Dad in 2004.
Until a month before my 8th birthday, my family lived in the Lake Highlands area of Dallas, Texas. In November 1977, we moved to Richardson, Texas. I graduated from L.V. Berkner High School in 1988 and Richland College (aka Berkner on the Hill) in 1991. I also attended the University of North Texas, but did not receive a degree.
In March 2000, I finally moved out of my father's house and into my own apartment in Frisco, Texas. On september 4, 2004, my wife, Cyndi, and I were married. We went to Disney World for our honeymoon. Cyndi has a son, Jon, who will be graduating from Frisco High School in May 2005.
Currently, our household consists of Cyndi, myself, Jon, Cyndi's mother (Ginny), Brewster - our miniture beagle, Teddy - Ginny's shih tzu, and Billy Bob - our beta fish. We are building a home in Frisco and look forward to closing on the house on September 15, 2005.
UPDATE: We are now in the house and have a new member of the family ... Jasmine - our veiled chameleon. UPDATE: Billy Bob has gone to "the big fish bowl in the sky." sniff UPDATE: Jasime passed away on Christmas Day. sniff, sniff
Cyndi and I both work for Accor North America; Cyndi works in Accounts Recievable and I work in Payroll. I've been with the company since June 2001. Cyndi and I met through work, but that's a sorry I'll get into later. Previously I've had several jobs including Tom Thumb (grocery store chain in Texas), Sam's Club, and CD Warehouse (new and used compact discs and DVDs). When I was manager of a CD Warhouse store I began to amass a rather large music collection. My musical tastes tend to gravitate towards progressive rock, classic rock and metal. Though I have been known to dabble in the ambiet / gothic genre among others. A short list of my favorite artists includes: Dream Theater, Queensryche, Marillion, Rush, Pendragon, Rhapsody, Symphony X, Triumph, Iron Maiden, Enchant, Zebra, Lana Lane, Ayreon, Saga, Lynyrd Skynyrd and Stevie Ray Vaughan. I also enjoy baseball and other sports, comedy, fantasy novels and art, John Grisham novels, and a few video games. I used to play D&D, but I've been away from the game for about 2 years. I have considered starting up again, if I can find the right group of gamers.
